What We Know

We have the tendency to process things according to our own understanding. That can cause us to fall or be inaccurate. In our finite minds, we should expand our capacity by embracing our ignorance, realizing we cannot attain God’s wisdom through our physical perception or understanding.

“As much as we know, to admit we know nothing is the beginning of wisdom.” Unknown

The physical mind cannot reason spiritual things. Unless we become believers, spiritually reconnected to Jehovah God, and receive the Holy Spirit, we cannot realize the fullness of truth. It has to be imparted to us through the Holy
Spirit (the Spirit of Truth).

“But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.” 1 Corinthians 2:14

We have a limited perspective of situations and life. We see things within our sphere. God knows the hearts, minds, and motives of people. He sees things not only from a global and humankind perspective but also from the eyes of eternity. God is not bound by time. We in our physical bodies may not access the eternal perspective our spirit encapsulates. Once we venture to consider what doesn’t make sense or what we don’t understand can we push our limits to receive at a higher level. God’s wisdom provides well-being. We have the word of God to develop our faith and the Holy Spirit to guide. The Word of God is counterintuitive. God’s reasoning and methods will not always fit into our devices.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

Children are a prime example of how to live in faith. They just trust and believe. In usual circumstances, kids don’t worry about what they need. They open the fridge expecting food to be there. Faith is a confident expectation. It leaves no room for worry or doubt. You cannot be in faith and worry at the same time. We are God’s children and must trust Him with childlike faith.

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3-4

By faith we can travel away from the shore of our finite minds into the deep immeasurable knowledge of God and allow the process of understanding and wisdom beyond our natural capacity to take place. The Holy Spirit will lead you in All truth.

“But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the
Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].”John 16:13

In all things, we must trust God and seek Him for His wisdom and direction our life so needs.

Declare: I will trust in the LORD with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding; in all my ways I submit to Him, and He makes my paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
